# Power Top Board This mounts inline with [squid works](https://gitlab.cba.mit.edu/squidworks/squidworks) mother- and daughter- boards, switching (up to) 24v down to 5v. # Power Distribution Boards I use these to distribute power through a machine. Typically I am bussing 24v from a switching power supply. These are on a 7x24mm pitch (with 7x14mm on the TVS / Bleeder Block). The idea is to stack them pole-to-pole on a 3D Printed base, such that the screw heads connect the V+'s and GND's in a row. That 3D Printed Base can mount wherever you'd like on the rest of the machine. ### XT60 Block One XT60 Connector (good for 60A) ### XT30s Three XT30s (good for 30A each) ### Bleed Resistor and TVS Diode I have a TVS Diode on most Mother Boards, but here is an extra, along with a bleed resistor to shunt any charge that is likely to be left over in those BFCs. Also makes me feel better about backdriving steppers. ### BFC Big Capacitors are nice to have alongside switching power supplies, in case anything draws lots-of-current-all-of-a-sudden, as is typical in motor control. Capacitance should be kept as close as possible to the circuit that sinks charge, and my motor drivers try to have some nearby, but here's more.
